SikaLastomer-710 Black 310 ml is a non-sagging butyl sealant designed for creating plastic seals that can later be detached. The black variant is particularly suitable for dark components where a light or gray mass would create a striking contrast.

The product has a pasty consistency, a broad adhesion spectrum, and good ageing resistance. It dries physically through solvent evaporation and does not require the use of heat.

When to choose the black variant?

Black SikaLastomer-710 is the right variant when sealing will be performed on black or dark elements and should remain as inconspicuous as possible. The product is suitable where the joint requires protection against water penetration but should not be permanently bonded.

This is not a structural adhesive. Load-bearing elements must be properly mechanically fastened or joined with an adhesive designed for the given load.

Surfaces must be clean and free of dust, grease, oil, and water. Adhesion and material compatibility should be tested on actual substrates before serial application.

The product is resistant to fresh water, seawater, limewater, and aqueous cleaning solutions. However, it has poor resistance to fuels, mineral oils, and vegetable and animal fats.

Instructions for use

1. Clean and dry the surfaces to be sealed.

2. If necessary, check adhesion on the original substrate.

3. Place the cartridge in the manual or pneumatic gun.

4. Apply the product evenly, avoiding entrapment of air bubbles.

5. Work at temperatures between +10°C and +35°C.

6. Smooth the joint with soapy water if the application requires it.
