Gemstone Halo Lamp - Zen Mind - Clear Quartz

A ring of raw clear quartz, lit from within a slim black frame, so the stone glows like a small, steady moon on the table. The pieces keep their rough, translucent edges, and the light picks out every facet and cloudy seam. Switched off, it is a quiet sculpture; switched on, it becomes a soft focal point for a shelf, desk or bedside.

What you'll notice

The quartz pieces sit side by side around the inside of the circle, pale and glassy, each one a slightly different shape.

The light shows through the stone as a cool, clean white, brightest where the crystal is clearest and softer where it clouds.

The matt black frame is plain and unfussy, so all the attention falls on the ring of mineral.

The open centre lets the wall behind show through, which keeps the whole piece feeling light rather than heavy.

The round black base holds the ring upright, and a cable runs from the back for plugging in.

Raw quartz, left as it grew

The lamp is made from gemstone and iron: natural clear quartz set into a black iron circle. The quartz has not been polished into smooth, uniform beads. The crystals keep their natural, angular shapes, so every lamp is arranged a little differently and no two rings look quite the same. Small variations in clarity, shape and the odd cloudy patch are part of working with natural stone.

Living with it

Place it where its glow can be seen at a distance, such as a console table, a windowsill after dark, or a corner you want to feel calmer in the evening. It gives a gentle ambient light rather than the brightness you would read by, so think of it as a mood light first. Keep it on a stable, level surface, and dust it when it is switched off and cool, using a soft dry brush or cloth. Avoid damp rooms and splashes, as the metal frame and electrics are best kept dry.

A lamp like this usually gives off a little warmth in use, which is normal. For the exact bulb or light source, the plug fitting and the switch type, please check the product listi…
