For Someone (SHM-CD)

Product Description

【SHM-CD】

The first release from Makoto Ozone's new label, "Mo-Zone."

TRiNFiNiTY's second album celebrates the beauty of diversity in a world still plagued by division.

● Makoto Ozone, a pianist who continues to be active on the world stage, has launched a new jazz label, "MO-Zone," with the distribution cooperation of Universal Music. The inaugural release is the second album by the trio "TRiNFiNiTY," formed in 2023 to commemorate Ozone's 40th anniversary as a pianist.

● This trio, featuring bassist Shinpei Ogawa and drummer Kuni Kita, both members of "From OZONE till Dawn," a project for young musicians poised to lead the next generation, was released in January 2024 with their first album, "TRiNFiNiTY." Since then, they have actively performed both domestically and internationally.

● Recording took place at Bauer Studios in Ludwigsburg, Germany, after the European tour in the spring of 2025. For Ozono, this studio holds special memories, as he visited it in the 1980s to record Gary Burton's ECM albums ('Real Life Hits', 'Whiz Kids').

● This album is a highly message-driven work, including songs expressing Ozono's strong desire for peace through music, deeply moved by the current global situation that threatens peace. Four tracks feature Ana Maria Jopek, a leading Polish singer with whom Ozono has a close relationship (her first appearance on an Ozono album in 15 years), delivering a stunning vocal performance.

● The album cover photos were taken by actor/film director Takumi Saitoh and video director Dan Ogawa.
