KitchenAid Artisan Plus 5KSM50PKVE 4.8L Planetary Mixer

Planetary mixer with a tilt-head and 4.8L bowl, designed for kneading dough, whipping, and mixing ingredients. Interior bowl lighting, eleven-speed and smooth speed regulation, and a metal housing make this an evolution of the classic tilt-head design.

• Integrated LED lighting illuminates the inside of the bowl and turns on automatically when the head is lowered or the device is started, or it can be turned on manually without the motor running.

• Speed control is switched between incremental and continuous speeds, allowing you to either hit a repeatable setting or adjust the speed without increments.

• The ultra-slow speed (½) is used to gently combine light, aerated ingredients, such as whipped egg whites or fruit, without disturbing their structure.

• The increased motor power allows you to knead heavy doughs without losing speed, and the direct drive on steel gears transfers power to the tools quietly and without loss.

• The planetary motion guides the mixer to every point of the bowl, so the mixture is homogeneous without manually scraping the ingredients down the sides.

• The Soft Start system smoothly accelerates the motor to the selected speed, reducing flour dusting and ingredient splashing at startup.

• The weight and metal body keep the device steady on the countertop even during intense kneading, and the mixer automatically shuts off when the head is lifted.

• Heavy dough for bread, pasta and dumplings

• Shortcrust pastry and other mixtures requiring longer kneading

• Whipping egg whites and cream and aerating mixtures

• Gently combining light ingredients at the lowest speed

• The universal drive socket accepts all KitchenAid attachments mounted in this socket
